we appreciate that we have been quiet for a while now, and now suddenly we are a month into 2022.
no, we are not sorry.
sian supposes that we were waiting for the dust to settle a bit – between this blog somehow winding up on a roundup of last year’s best secondlife blogs (after not posting for like six months) and meatspace crises like a totalled automobile conveyance and family covid scares it has been an odd one.
people in meatspace have this depressing habit right now of talking about the new normal, but that presupposes that there was an old one. for sian and their player, normal has always been a nebulous conceit. inworld, there has been sex and hypnosis as usual, but not all that much; kink, but not all that much; catching up with friends, but not all that much.
we’ve been customising things, a lot – we never seem to be satisfied with sian’s tattoos, and they’ll probably change more, and sian likes dicking around with logos and labels (more clothing needs to come with customisable label sections), and it’s important that the glowy bits on sian’s clothing are all 128/256/256 and 256/256/128 (sian gets anxious and twitchy if the glowy bits are not exactly so). sian saw a fantastic video a few months ago about how to make a portal effect in secondlife and took the liberty of hacking together an amazing creepy/hot brain window which they edited into the custom implant the wonderful very vanilla gave them. at some point they will video it. using a technique explained to them by another friend, sarah passerine, sian then locked it on with rlv so it cannot ever be removed without deactivating rlv.
sian does not cheat on rlv.
in the real world there have been a lot of drugs. legal ones, we hasten to add. but ones with heavy psychoactive effects. maybe next time we’ll talk about the drugs.
because there have been drugs.
or maybe we’ll talk about the inworld sex work and how badly that went.
or maybe we will talk about the transcendent joy of a changed username.
we have a lot of catching up to do. anyway. it will be one of those. which gives us something to look forward to, we suppose.
maybe that means there won’t be so long a wait until next time.
