yesterday, or maybe the day before, sian accidentally touched her chest and experienced a new sort of pain, an odd sting as she suddenly realised how very sore her nipples were. After months of wondering whether the changes she had so far experienced were only the placebo effect, this proved oddly comforting. something is happening. something is happening.
rl!sian’s partner told her not long ago that he saw sian as oddly graceful, and insectlike, and alien, comparing her to the grand councilwoman from disney film lilo and stitch. he meant this as a compliment, but rl!sian had already got that (tell us that you are neurodiverse without telling us you are neurodiverse, right?). she’s thinking of that now, because she feels like she’s in her chrysalis, in the awkward “turning into mush before solidifying into something else” stage. in secondlife, sian is into all the hive and drone stuff, and the insect metaphors abound.
this outfit, which r2 released between last month’s cyber fair and this month’s neo japan event, has the look of an arthropodal carapace; the right mix of facial colouring and eyes made for a look she feels is shivery and iridescent.
this is the third try at photographing this set, and the third location. as a result, sian is feeling thorough today, just for the sake of due diligence, but don’t get used to it.
