∅.2 recreational mindfxxxing, a guide

sian isn’t a terrible hypnotist. their hypnosis method is their own. they have tried others, including the most common variants used in secondlife (the one sian has seen most is where the subject sits and gazes at a rotating spiral, and the words of the hypnotist are superimposed over it). sian’s version, which works on some people and absolutely doesn’t on others, depends wholly on the chat box.

it’s fairly simple. sian instructs the subject to type a simple phrase over and over (what that phrase might be depends on what the subject wants to get out of it, so with some subjects who are into the harder kink, it’s something harder about submission or obedience, and if it’s more gentle, the phrase instead reflects love and safety. they breathe in when they start typing, they breathe out when they press enter. as they type, sian posts advice as to posture, and comfort, and then, later, suggestions, and eventually triggers. it is as easy as that.

sian is not sure why it works.

it works on some people, it doesn’t work at all on others, and it doesn’t seem to allow for a middle ground. of the last six subjects on whom sian has attempted this, it has worked on four, and crashed out entirely on two. on three of the successes, none of whom had apparently undergone this sort of hypnosis before, the results have been pretty spectacular.

sian’s conjecture, and this is only conjecture, is that the combination of a repeated phrase, typed enough that it ceases to have conscious meaning, with a series of small and repetitive physical movements, aid the focus of the subject on the hypnosis. sian, whose player received last week a diagnosis of adhd/asd that prominently included the words “severely impaired”, finds this significantly more effective in their own trances than just sitting gazing at pretty shapes, which risks distraction, or, worse, common or garden mindfulness techniques, which often trigger fight/flight reactions.

because the subject is concentrating on typing and breathing, their attention cannot wholly be focussed on what is typed in chat. the result of this is that the text seen by the subject is in some way subliminal. there is no brute force needed; the subject hypnotises themself. a key part of this is to assure the subject that pressing enter each time feels nice. sian thinks this matters because it starts the dopamine firing. dopamine, as you probably know, is the brain chemical that fires off when you do a thing that makes you keep doing it. it facilitates addictions; it keeps you playing video games; it makes you shop impulsively; it’s faulty dopamine receptors that make untreated adhd so debilitating.

dopamine can be triggered by doing or saying things.  and you can manipulate this. which is where the triggers come in.

when sian is satisfied that the subject is ready, they bring in the programming. a posthypnotic trigger is simply a word or phrase that, on hearing it or reading it in chat, makes the subject do or feel something. one subject wanted to feel happy and silly with the trigger, for example. some people perform a specific behaviour or set of behaviours.

mostly, though, sian uses one that simply makes the subject feel really good.

it¦s easy enough to do, the formula generally revolving around sian typing a cyclical set of suggestions, repeating the desired trigger. the chats (around the repeated typing) look a bit like this:

> when you see
> [trigger word]
> it feels like [brief but flowery description of what it feels like]
> and you find yourself  [brief but flowery description of what the subject’s body should do]
> when i say
> [trigger word]
> it is so nice and you [more descriptions of actions and feelings, slightly different]
> so that every time you see
> [trigger word]
> you find yourself [slightly different description again]
> so that
> [trigger word]
> makes you [more descriptions]

…and so on. sian repeats the trigger maybe twelve, fifteen times. the risk is sometimes that as you go on, the trigger starts to have effect as you go, but frankly that’s a feature, and the subject might not be able to type, but they’ll still try, and sian will go on, and leave them a pliable, panting mess.

after the fact, the jerking rush of dopamine the trigger produces causes the subject to convulse with pleasure. typically, the more it’s said, the more powerfully it affects the
subject, who, if they have been programmed properly, can be reduced to a
fetal, mewling ball by the bliss of it. sian has had such a trigger for about eight years. it still works.

the weird thing is that it’s sexual, but although sian can confirm that it 150% beats jacking/jilling off while trying to emote one-handed, it really isn’t sex. it feels nice (and reports of the subject getting wet/rock hard have been given) but you don’t really come. it sort of bypasses that. sian doesn’t even know if you could make a person come in this way, although they have a hunch that if it’s possible, it is probably more likely that it could happen to a person with a vulva than it would a person with a penis, just because of the mechanics of the biology. if anyone wants to try, they should drop sian a line.
