Sian keeps thinking of an old RL friend who self-immolated because she had a humiliation kink and kept hooking up with men who just really liked humiliating women. She couldn’t get excited about men who even pretended. This did not end well for her. Her mental health cratered. They lost touch. Sian thinks about her often. She hopes her friend is all right. She fears she isn’t.
It’s a quandary. And yes, Sian knows one answer is to just assume that this is evidence that kink isn’t healthy, but she really doesn’t think that is the answer. But how do we keep the spark while not putting ourselves in harm’s way? That’s probably a question for therapy, honestly. But Sian thinks the trick lies in being honest with ourselves about what is pretend, and what is real; between what we want and what we think we want. Between what is for play and what is for keeps.

Notes:
Literally the only thing here that hasn’t been featured before in a different colour (like, even the poses, which are mostly by SAPA) is the kick-ass posture collar from Avec Toi. Honestly, Sian just really liked the pictures and it’s not like she makes an effort to make people read this). But if you’ve stumbled upon this blog somehow and it looks good to you, well, if you get it now (October 2025) at FLF-o-Ween, you can get it very cheaply.
